While working at the Bruce Lee Family Company, as a creative team building workshop we were tasked with pursuing a creative project purely for our own pleasure and interest. The point of the workshop was to show that every team member could be creative even if their job was not a creative one. As the Senior Designer I decided to explore my illustration skills as I loved to draw, but had not explored that side of my creative brain in many years.
With a love of drawing silly, weird, and spooky things my project was illustrating, designing, and creating a monster themed alphabet book. I tasked myself with finding monster-related words for each letter of the alphabet and creating illustrations to accompany each word.
As it turns out, 26 illustrations is a lot! The project is still an exploration of my creativity and I hope to get the final book printed one day. For now I am sharing some of my favorite spreads from “M is for Monster”.
Where to next party people?
