BruceLee.com

In 2016, when I first joined the team at the Bruce Lee Family Company, they had not updated the design of Brucelee.com in many years. The company had just gone through a rebrand with Nemo, a Portland OR based design firm, and I was brought onto the Bruce Lee team to help implement the new branding across the company including their website, social platforms, marketing materials, and internal materials.

This is what the website looked like when I first joined the Bruce Lee team:

With the new branding in hand, and working closely with the CMO at the time Sharon Ann Lee, I set about updating the design of Brucelee.com and moving it to a new hosting platform.

The new website was streamlined into a limited color palette of Bruce Lee’s iconic yellow, black, and a crisp white. At the time the company had many projects in the pipeline, one of which was the new podcast: The Bruce Lee Podcast. We wanted to promote the podcast prominently on the homepage and emphasize Bruce Lee the Artist and Philosopher.

The next iteration of the BruceLee.com website incorporated new functionality and more content based design.

We included a video banner similar to this at the top of the homepage:

Featuring more content and a longer visual narrative, this version of the Brucelee.com homepage had an overview of the Bruce Lee Family Company and included content from the different company projects.

The current version of the BruceLee.com website is live and features all of the current Bruce Lee Family Company projects, collaborations, news articles, and podcast episodes.
